I sent on to Concord where I got the original and got all these was in the store, eight sheets. Send you three & wish you joy making them up. You ought to see the doll's house! It has grown two stories, has a kitchen & a basement now. As soon as we get a chance we're going to fix it up & paint it on a blue velvet parlor suite, eat kitchen stove, dining room stove, kitchen table and dust pan. Good beginning! Have lots of ideas, swarmed if I work them all out. The boys have no killet day one yet & Sunday are not likely to.
came to the door last week and asked if our boys fired bullets, as she had seen them near her place and someone had killed her pet goat. — I'm glad you liked your books. I heard you say you did not have Elliot, so told your uncle. Was sorry he could not send a better set. I'm glad "Bet of Whiskey" was a success. Hope you had on your swell pink bonnet while under the fire of the sister's glasses. It's what I'm wish I could have been with you in the background. When the day turned out so fine I was doubly disappointed. Fear of a storm was all that took me to town on Thursday. I wrote & explained my visit to Lummy and it was all wasted paper and ink as he had not even heard that I'm one had called. Wasted sweetness. Shall not exert myself another time! After I left you on SS no 4 I went into Miss Butler's & then had one cream soda & got out on the 4 train. I homesteaded, had tea & went down to
came home so short week and weather today have been good for nothing. Esther I am not meant to be sad as I do not get enough of it to keep me on trim. Please give me your diagnosis of the case. No news here that I know of. Your pencil has been in constant use. Uncle Jim & his sister Dick gave me a silver pin. Can't describe it. It is heavily ox if delayed so I can wear it now. Your uncle succeeded in giving me something I did not want. Poor fellow, he tries so hard & thought he had just the right thing. I enthused over them & do not think he saw I was shamming. The things in themselves are ever so pretty but I would rather far have had the money toward a song. Have not told you yet to see what they were. Gold slave studs. Am not wearing cuffs & if I was would not wear gold studs. Have two pass black ones. Don't dare exchange them as he admires
rehearsals more dead than alive, my feet were so tired. We had been on a pretty steady trot all the time, but I enjoyed it so much. Let's try it again before many moons. Saw more that day than I would in a life time alone. I was in town last week staying with a cousin from Boston. She had come on for just a week & was doing the Dupin brown. We went to do as you like it "with your Uncle" Monday night, & Wednesday we spent at the Met "museum and in the evening went to Soho and by ourselves, as independent as two "loughees." Next I spent with the Fultons. This time getting me splendidly. Howard might I went up to West Washington & heard roulette and spent the night. Willie is very well & the baby is fine. Hancock is as happy as a clam at high water. Thursday I came back to town and did some shopping and
them so much & I don't want to make him feel badly, but it does seem such a waste of goodness.—Uncle Alfred sent me a book, selections of poetry. Aunt Mary sent me the new book written by Mrs. Henry sister "In Biscayne Bay." Have you seen it? If not you will have to read it here. It is too nice a book to send by mail, or I would send it. Miss Butler gave me a travelling case, so I am all ready to go off for a night. The dots all took their own pennies and got me something, Oswald a cup & saucer, Lysbet a firm cushion on a metal cornucopia & Imurie a flower vase. We all went to the Le Heris for dinner and the tots had one glorious time. Now I must quit this chattering & go to bed. Make use of some of those blotters etc & write me soon & tell me all the latest. Love to all. As ever, Yours Fidelie.
