see what you have escaped you I should have roped you in to go with me. It is high time you did come home to be under my previous influence, it seems to me I do nothing but go to church. Nice days. I am trying to drill a lot of girls to help sing on Thurs & Weds - & am also trying to teach the girl who is to play the lute again in church how to chant - as she is Presbyterian I am having Mr Dickens of a music & the upstairs is I have a care H. Johns Rectory March 5th. My dearest Alice, I am determined that this letter shall reach you before your return home so will devote part of this afternoon to you. I feel particularly stupid as I have a cold in my throat & keep a very dry act - adepts to the funeral
