Thursday I was very glad to receive your note the other day and to learn that you are enjoying yourself. On the score of ancestors and great grandfathers I don't think the Bostonians can discomfit you. My plans are a little more definite, and if so be that I have two or three houses to spare at Newtown I may be able to assist in making them fit for you there. I should like only much to hear from you again; if you can find time to write. Of course you have heard of the famine

to spend there or town ways, and if go in that I go by way of New London and nothing presents, I warn be able to see you here; but I don't count on it as I shall next week go the other way (via Willimantic) I will write you again next week after to any extent - even if they are ahead of Richmond County on the matter of trees. I hope you will be able to avail yourself of the stateroom — I am always glad, as you know, to do you a service however slight. I am going to Norwich on July first
